Sea Lion Encounters is a one of a kind exhibit striving to inspire and delight audiences while providing an educational experience. Multiple dynamic animal shows include exciting sea lion behaviors like ball balancing and handstands, amazing leaps and jumps, and an inspiring in-water interaction between trainer and sea lions. After the show visit with the trainers, have a picture taken with the animals, even get a Sea Lion Kiss!

Meet the Animals is an interactive exhibit that is much more than a petting zoo. A variety of agricultural exhibits will leave you entertained as well as informed.  Milk a cow, watch chickens hatch, visit an on-going egg laying display, or have your picture taken on a 1500 lb Texas Longhorn.

Penelope the Clown

Wednesday Sept. 7 - Saturday Sept. 10 @ 1, 2:30, 4, & 6:30 pm

With the spirit of an enthusiastic five-year old, Penelope the clown will bring laughter, smiles, and fun to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Juggling, magic, and fantastic face art are just a few of her terrific talents. This colorful clown is also a master of balloon sculpture.

Agri-education for the whole family…including a planting station that creates “dirt babies”, picture boards, milking parlor, games, shows and hands-on lessons based on agriculture while adding a “pinch” of fun! We strive to introduce families from our urban communities to farming and agriculture in a wholesome, experiential, entertaining and educational manner!

Matt Sorensen Tribute Artists

Shows at 1:00, 3:30, 6:00 8:00, & 9:30 pm daily

In loving memory of Matt Sorensen, the spray paint community has come together from across the nation to pay tribute to one of their finest artists at the Eastern Idaho State Fair.  Matt painted and entertained millions of people at fairs all over the US & Canada.  Matt said the EISF was the best and his favorite of any of his venues.  As a tribute to Matt, spray paint artists will be performing and painting from 10 am to 10 pm across from the 4-H Building every day of the fair.  Art will be for sale to cover costs and a portion of all proceeds will be going to the “Matt Sorensen Starving Artist Scholarship Fund” which will be given out every year on Matt’s birthday.  See Matt’s art videos at

This hand’s on science exhibit is fun and entertaining for the whole family.  Visit Super Science Puzzlemania at the fair and see how ordinary toys and objects become extraordinary experiences. There are 30 different puzzles and activities, including brain teaser – master’s puzzles, classic puzzles, junior puzzles, geometric puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, tangrams, dis-entanglements, traditional games plus more!
