WildWind was born out of a deeply rooted love for music and life on the road. While the name may be new, the members of WildWind have been making music together for nearly a decade, and if you added up all their stage experience, you’d easily have over a hundred years’ worth of stories from the road. The various band members’ influences stretch from classic country to modern rock, from bluegrass to gospel and Motown harmonies. If you go to a WildWind concert, expect to hear some Willie Nelson, Elton John, Doobie Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lumineers, Chris Stapleton, and more than a few catchy originals.
At the core, WildWind is comprised of Founder and front man Luke Lautaret, (a multi-instrumentalist with over three decades of stage experience behind him) and Stephany Novak. Performing as a duo all the way up to a full seven-piece band (or anything in between) the pair provide the backbone for a sound that is both fresh and exciting, yet uniquely familiar.
The other musicians in WildWind bring fiddle, drums, percussion, lead guitars, saxophone, and perfectly tight 3 & 4-part harmony vocals. Don’t be surprised to see a ukelele, mandolin, banjo, or harmonica make an appearance, either. The WildWind sound is simultaneously both huge and intimate, switching seamlessly between rocking up-tempo dance tunes to softer, poignant acoustic songs that move your heartstrings. If you are hoping to be entertained, you’d be hard-pressed to do better than spending an evening with WildWind.
