ESSENTIAL GUIDELINES
Welcome to the Eastern Idaho State Fair's General Guidelines and Policies page, your comprehensive resource for ensuring a smooth and
enjoyable experience at our event. We're committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees, and these guidelines
outline important information ranging from admission policies to rules regarding ATVs and service animals. Please familiarize yourself with these
policies to make the most of your time with us.
E.I.S.F. considers all GOLF CARTS/ATV/OTV/TRACTOR/LAWNMOWER/MOTORIZED VEHICLE OF ANY KIND, EXCEPT HANDICAP
MOBILITY CHAIRS, are to be referred to as “ATV” in reference to said policy.
Payment of a $50.00 permit fee (per year) and completion of E.I.S.F. ATV Application Form is required, permits can be obtained at the E.I.S.F. Main Office.
Must present insurance coverage to the E.I.S.F. Main Office before permit is given. Insurance coverage shall include, but is not necessarily limited to general liability, property damage liability, and automobile liability. The limit of liability for all types of coverage shall not be less than $1,000,000 combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage per person and per occurrence.
ATV Permit must be affixed to front left corner of ATV at all times, E.I.S.F. Security is authorized to remove any ATV that does not display ATV Permit from fairgrounds.
ATV must be operated by individuals 18 years-of-age or older who possess a valid driver’s license.
ATV must be operated in a safe and orderly manner, E.I.S.F. Security is authorized to remove any ATV that violates rules.
Capacity is limited to the seating allowed by the machine – no sitting on laps, front rack, back rack, or trailers, etc.
ATV Speed Limit is 3 mph.
Pedestrians have the right-of-way at all times.
ATV maximum width not to exceed 50 inches.
ATV are not to park in front of loading or unloading areas, in any barn, or in front of shaving storage areas in barn areas.
No ATV allowed in track infield after 4:30 p.m., gates will be locked and will not be opened until after any night time grandstand event is completed and infield has been released by security (10:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
No ATV may go past Gate No. 3 after 10:00 a.m., except E.I.S.F. personnel.
No ATV allowed in Carnival Area at any time, except E.I.S.F. personnel.
Only approved handicap mobility chairs may pass through admission gates. Any ATV entering or exiting the Fairgrounds shall
use the designated entrance/exit gate located at the North Gate – No. 5 (off Jones Street) or Highway 91 Gate – No. 3 or Service
Gate – No. 2 (off Park Street).
Any vehicle in operation on fairground may be impounded by the Fair Manager, or his appointed designee, in the event that it is
being used inappropriately. Examples of inappropriate use would include, but not limited to; driving without ATV Permit, driving
in restricted areas without authorization, unsafe behavior, speeding, underage driver, joy racing/riding, or driving under the
influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
PURPOSE
No dogs or any animals not exhibiting or competing are permitted on the fairground except for service animals for persons with disabilities, The Eastern Idaho State Fair’s service animal policy governs the use of service animals on grounds by persons with disabilities only.
DEFINITION OF A SERVICE ANIMAL
“A service animal is a DOG that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability.” (Americans with Disabilities ACT)
No Refunds
No Firearms or dangerous weapons permitted on the fairgrounds unless permitted under Idaho State Law
No Dogs permitted on the fairgrounds except for competitors in the Stock Dog Competition on opening Saturday. All other dogs, excluding those designated as Service Dogs, will be asked to immediately remove them
No Smoking or Vaping except in two designated smoking areas: 1) Pari-mutuel Betting area and Beer Garden, 2) N. Beer Garden. Security can trespass individuals who choose not to smoke in designated areas
No Bikes, skateboards, rollerblades or motorized vehicles unless permitted by Fair Manager
No Alcohol can be brought onto the fairgrounds
Backpacks and containers may be searched by Security
THANK YOU FOR PURCHASING GRANDSTAND NIGHT EVENT TICKETS TO THE EASTERN IDAHO STATE FAIR.
Please consider the following information to improve your experience at the EISF.
When purchasing your tickets online or over the phone, you have the option to have your tickets delivered by email, text message, US Mail or pick-up tickets at the EISF Ticket Office, located at 97 Park Street, Blackfoot, ID 83221. There is a $4 Processing Fee on each ticket purchased.
Print at Home tickets are delivered via email to the email address provided. Print at Home tickets must be printed by the patron prior to attending the event.
Mobile tickets are delivered via text message to the phone number provided. Mobile tickets can be presented on a mobile device at the admission gates.
Mail ticket option is only available through August 21, 2023. Tickets will be mailed to the address provided when you complete your ticket purchase. It is purchaser’s responsibility to inform the EISF if you have not received your tickets within 10 business days of the date of purchase. $2.00 Mailing Charge per ticket order.
Will Call tickets are held at the EISF Ticket Office for pick-up. The Ticket Office is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday from April 23 to August 31. Hours are extended to 8 am to 10 pm daily during the Fair. You must bring your email order confirmation and the card used to place the order to pick up tickets. $7.00 Will Call Charge per order.
Each Night Event Ticket includes FREE Fair gate admission the day of the event! No need to purchase an admission ticket. Just present your Night Event Ticket to the EISF Gate Personnel once for admission to the Fair and again for admission to the Grandstand Night Event.
Please respect your neighbor’s space for an enjoyable experience for everyone. Out of consideration for other patrons, please use discretion when choosing to bring young children or infants to an event.
Children 3 and under are not required to have a ticket for Grandstand Night Events as long as they sit on an adult’s lap. This policy does not apply to the Demolition Derby Pit where ALL individuals, including infants, entering the Demolition Derby Pit must have a Pit Pass.
Only service animals for persons with disabilities and exhibiting stock are permitted on the fairgrounds.
Smoking and Vaping are NOT allowed on the EISF grounds, except designated areas. (see EISF map for designated locations)
EASTERN IDAHO STATE FAIR TICKET PURCHASE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Refunds: All Sales are final, NO REFUNDS. All sales for Gate Tickets, Carnival Tickets, and Grandstand Event Tickets purchased through www.funatthefair.com, the EISF Ticket Office, or any other outlet associated with the Eastern Idaho State Fair cannot be refunded or exchanged under any circumstance. EISF does not offer refunds or exchanges for any reason, including lost or stolen tickets. Be sure you select the proper event and seat locations before completing your order. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to choose the appropriate event and seat locations before completion of the order.
Reserved Seating: Reserved seating requires that purchasers can stay within the designated seat lines, which has a width of 18 inches. A second ticket will be required if the width requirement is not able to be met.
Confirmation: If the purchaser does not receive a confirmation number in the form of a confirmation page or email after submitting payment information, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to contact the EISF Ticket Office at 208-785-2480 ext. 107, to verify ticket purchase is complete. Only purchaser may be aware of any problems that may occur during the purchase process. The Eastern Idaho State Fair will not be responsible for losses, monetary or otherwise if purchaser assumes that an order was not placed because purchaser failed to receive confirmation and a second purchase of event ticket occurs.
Payment: EISF accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Cash. NO checks accepted. Purchaser agrees that purchaser will not attempt to evade, avoid, or circumvent any refund prohibitions in any manner concerning tickets that were purchased. The purchaser will not dispute or otherwise seek a chargeback from the company whose credit card you used to purchase tickets. EISF may refuse to honor any pending and future ticket purchases made from all credit card accounts or online accounts on which such chargebacks have been made, and may prohibit all persons in whose name the credit card accounts exist.
Credit Card Statement: The ticket purchase will appear on credit card statements as: “ETIX”.
Recording Equipment: Advanced audio or video recording equipment is prohibited unless a person has a media pass. Basic cameras are welcome unless otherwise restricted by the artist.
Event Cancellations: The show goes on regardless of the weather! Inclement weather is not a cause for a refund or ticket exchange unless EISF Management officially cancels a performance. Should an event cancellation occur, EISF will attempt to contact purchaser ASAP to inform the purchaser of refund or exchange procedures for that event.
Ticket Resale: You understand that the resale of tickets may be subject to state and local laws and regulations. Any violation of such laws may result in your prosecution by such agencies. Reproducing this ticket in any form is unlawful. Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may be lost, stolen, or counterfeit and if so are void. The EISF assumes no liability arising from purchaser resale or attempted resale of tickets purchased through the EISF.
Conduct for Removal: The Eastern Idaho State Fair reserves the right, without any refund of any amount paid, to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct management deems disorderly, who uses vulgar/abusive language, or who fails to comply with any EISF policy.
Patron acknowledges the following: Event tickets are only valid for the event date and time issued. Start time of event subject to change without notice. Tickets are a revocable license that may be revoked by EISF at any time, for any reason. Holder of the ticket voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring before, during, or after the event, and agrees that the organization, agents, participants, and players are not responsible for any injuries resulting for such causes. Weapons of any kind are prohibited at each Grandstand night event. Management reserves the right to inspect and/or search all persons, packages, and bags entering the premises.
Photos and Imaging: Admission to the premises constitutes your agreement that your name, voice, and likeness may be broadcast, distributed, or displayed in connection with any promotional materials created from the performance without any compensation being paid to you.
Vaccinate all horses coming to the EISF against the Equine Herpes Virus (Rhino). It comes in a 2-way vaccine that is inexpensive and effective, recommended Pneumabort K has proven to help prevent the neurological form. The vaccine isn’t perfect, but it will help minimize the virus.
All equine facilities must be disinfected with diluted bleach (50:1 to 100:1) solution before and after all equine events, with emphasis on cleaning all organic matter from the stalls prior to disinfection.
Advise that all owners get a rectal temperature on their horses twice daily. If any horse is found to have a fever, the EISF veterinarian will be contacted to evaluate the animal. This animal may be examined, isolated, diagnosed, and treated at the cost of the owner.

Any animals with nasal or ocular discharge, fever, oral lesions, swollen lymph nodes, diarrhea, neurological signs or general disease signs will be isolated and treated at the fairgrounds.
